When our team had the opportunity to work with a budding beverage brand to create a new canned cocktail company rooted in community and creativity, it was only fitting we landed on the name Canvus. Like any successful endeavor, we all sometimes have to start with a blank canvas. During this project our team created and launched the brand from scratch, conceptualizing ideas, branding, designing, and finding the copy to best describe the product's mission and vision. Beyond the brand, we worked on the website, social media content, video and music production, and a brand activation launch party.

Rooted ran the entire process from start to finish. Nothing was outsourced. Our team basically became a rental Chief Marketing Officer to help launch the product.



Rooted successfully launched Canvus Cocktails 3D teaser with 100 influencers around Cincinnati which generated over 100,000 impressions. The canned cocktail eventually partnered with the Cincinnati Bengals to launch a limited edition can around the drop of their white helmets. In just a few months Canvus gained 800+ Cincinnati/NKY-based followers on Instagram and created over 100 pieces of unique social media videos and content in 3 months. Aside from social marketing, Rooted worked on 7 live experiential activations across the region in 3 months. Canvas won the best overall activation at Seltzerland, the premier live event/competition for the category. Rooted also conceptualized and activated a product launch party with over 200 cultural influencers across the city. The product eventually was recognized by WLWT, the Cincinnati Business Courier, and more.
